Celebrating 200 Years!
Est. May 19, 1822
This fall we had 19 young people creating gifts bags for 38 families in Harford County, receiving food assistance from the Sharing Table in Edgewood and the Outreach Center in Abingdon. These teens and tweens decorated 2 bags, created 2 homemade Christmas cards, baked a full batch of homemade cookies, decorated 8 ornaments and made 8 no sew scarves. Each bag goes to a family of 4. We are grateful and impressed with the generousity of so many! In total, 300 bags were collected from the Catholic Youth Ministry programs in the Harford Region.
Our young people also created 20 Christmas gifts for members of our community. Decorated bags, homemade Christmas Cards and Cookies and a hand painted ornament are bringing holiday joy to the homebound and others. The level of skill and art work speaks to the desire to help another have a Merry and Blessed Christmas. Thank you to the 20 youth and their families!! We would also like to thank Amazing Glaze in Bel Air for working with us on this service oopportunity.

“The family is the domestic church…the home is the Church in miniature.” – St. John Paul II
In the Catholic tradition, the family holds a special place–especially in the formation of faith. So important, in fact, that it is called “the domestic church.” This video invites families to reflect on being the Church in the world and what that might look like within their family.
