“The family is the domestic church…the home is the Church in miniature.” – St. John Paul II
We believe that parents are the primary teachers of their children in the faith. To support and accompany in teaching their children about their faith, St. John the Evangelist Church offers in-person classes for students in Pre-School through Grade 8.
Classes meet one hour a week from September through April. Families gather periodically throughout the year with their children to experience intergenerational learning. A home study program is provided for students whose families cannot attend the weekly program. Families are encouraged to attend family gatherings throughout the year.
If you're interested in more information, please contact Theresa Konitzer, Director of Religious Education Faith Formation at 410-592-6206, ext. 107.
In partnership with parents, Saint John Parish’s Faith Formation program offers students opportunities for faith development in a faith learning environment that is welcoming and friendly to youth.
