What conversion of mind, heart, and life is the Lord asking of me?
But the man who received one went off and dug a hole in the ground and buried his master’s money.
What have I done to develop my God-given gifts? When have I hidden my faith instead of giving witness?
Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities.
What responsibilities has God given me? How does faithfully fulfilling my responsibilities give witness to my faith?
Come, share your master’s joy.
How have I experienced God’s holy joy this week? How can I share that joy with others?

How’s your Eucharistic Revival Pilgrimage going? Have you completed some of the stops along the way?
We’ll be stamping passports this weekend, November 18/19. Someone will be in the narthex after each Mass to stamp your passports with our special stamp. Remember to bring your passport with you and any activity you may have done that has a tangible product, i.e., a video, an essay, a picture of you praying the rosary, etc.
How far have you traveled on this special Eucharistic Pilgrimage?
We wish to welcome home all our college students visiting for the Thanksgiving holiday! Join us for Young Adult Small Group on Sunday at 1:00 PM in the Koontz House. You are encouraged to attend the 11:30 AM Mass.

November Family Gathering
What a better month than November to talk about gifts. At the Gathering we talked about what a gift is, how do you feel when you receive a gift, and how do you feel when you are the giver of the gift. Our focus then turned to the Offertory, the time that we bring our gifts of bread and wine and all that we are and all that we will be to be placed on the altar of the Lord to be transformed into something divine.
An activity included families writing gifts that we give to God on post-a-notes. We invite you to jot down your gift(s) you can give to God on a post-a-note that will be provided for you in the Narthex and put it on the poster. It is ok if they overlap. The board will remain in the Narthex until Thanksgiving.
KofC Blood Drive
Saturday, November 18, from 6:30 AM to 12:00 PM in the Church hall. The event is sponsored by the LGV #8736 Knights of Columbus. We need everyone’s help during this critical time. Our goal is 75 units. Please Give The Gift Of Life! We thank all of those who have given in the past and welcome new donors!

Thank you.
Stewardship Weekend
This weekend is Stewardship Weekend! We have been providing information in our bulletin about our Stewardship responsibility, the current financial situation of our church, and the impact of your contribution to our mission to encourage you to step up in your offertory giving or donation for the needs of St. John. This weekend, Father Pete will give his personal testimony as to why giving to St. John is important for us all.
Pope John Paul II began the tradition of Bambinelli Sunday during his papacy to remind families about the joyous event of Baby Jesus’ arrival in the manger. Bambinelli Sunday is celebrated on the third Sunday of Advent. This year St. John will have the blessing as part of all Masses the weekend of December 16 and 17.
Advent Retreat 2023
Advent Night of Reflection to prepare for the Incarnation – “And the Word became Flesh”
Monday, November 27 from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM.
As we prepare for the celebration of the Incarnation of Christ at Christmas, join us for an evening of prayer and reflection on the origins of the Christmas Creche. Friar Timothy Dore will share how St. Francis of Assisi played a part in developing our Christmas tradition of a creche, its symbolism, and its importance to our Advent preparations. Take some time to prepare spiritually amidst all your other preparations.
Prayer Ministry Next Weekend
Prayer Ministry consists of teams of trained Prayer Ministers who are able to pray with you and for you regarding specific requests or special intentions.
Prayer Ministers serve as intercessors in the parish community to fulfill the call to pray for one another. After all Masses on the last weekend of each month, Prayer Teams will be stationed around the sides of the church sanctuary. Simply approach a Prayer Team member, tell them your concerns, and allow them to pray with you and for you, knowing that God hears and answers our prayers. Prayer Ministers will be available after all Masses next weekend, November 25/26.
Sunday 9 AM Live-stream on YouTube for the Sick/Homebound
