What conversion of mind, heart, and life is the Lord asking of me?
The bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.
How is my faith nourished? How do I help others nourish their faith?
The Jews quarreled among themselves.
What signs of division do I see in my family, parish, or community? How can I be a peacemaker in the communities where I live and work?
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.
What can I do this week to grow closer to Jesus? How can I receive the Eucharist with greater devotion?

National Eucharistic Revival - Online Resources
In 2022, the US bishops launched an initiative for a “Eucharistic Revival”. The parish phase begins this weekend, June 10/11, and will culminate in a “Eucharistic Congress” being held in Indianapolis in July 2024. At St. John’s we are entitling the Revival “That We May Believe.” Below are some suggestions for how you can learn more about the Eucharist and the Eucharistic Revival. We will also be offering prayer opportunities, discussions, presentations, study groups and other materials to help you learn more about the Eucharist and the Church’s devotion. Please make room in your calendar to participate in some of these events. If you’d like to become more involved in our parish efforts, contact Barbara Anderson at andersonbh@sjehydes.org or 410-592-6206 x106.

Vacation Bible School 2023
The Professor and Meerkat are working hard to get ready for a fun week of VBS.
Let’s take a minute to eavesdrop on what they are doing.
Professor: Hello, friends! My name is Professor and I’m here to invite all students entering grades: Preschool 4, Kindergarten and 1-5 by September 1, 2023, to join me at Hero Hotline VBS on June 26 - 30, 2023 in the Church Hall. At Hero Hotline, we are all Heroes.
Let’s welcome our friend, Super Meer.
Super Meer: Hello Professor. I’m ready for Hero Hotline VBS!
Professor: Welcome and wow, Super Meer! Way to answer the call to Hero Hotline VBS!
Super Meer: Thank you, Professor. I heard that our time at hero Hotline involves great music, fun games, super science, and lots of learning.
Professor: Right you are, Super Meer. While at Hero Hotline, we will learn about how we can work together and join God in helping others! All this happens at Hero Hotline Headquarters.
Super Meer: How are we going to learn to work together?
Professor: We’ll learn through the ways God calls us to be heroic, and by learning about some great stories from the Bible.
Super Meer: Sign me up! I am ready for this. What else will we do at Hero Hotline? Tell me more so I can let all my meerkat buddies know too!
Professor: Okay, how about this? During each session we will learn the Hotline Tip.

Our Daily Bread
God Bless Our Casserole Angels! What started as a very pretty Spring morning in Long Green Valley grew to become even more beautiful as we picked up 86 casseroles from our freezers, and delivered them to Our Daily Bread. The Spirit of OUR Lord was truly visible within our little parish on this celebration of Trinity Sunday.
Our next delivery date to Our Daily Bread is Sunday, August 6. Our pick-up time is 11:30 AM prior to Mass. Please place your frozen casseroles in the designated freezers in our church hall.
Peace and God Bless!
